sorry for the radio silence this month! most of my site building efforts have pertained to opal's redesign (still in progress) and that aside i've just been dealing with a lot. then i caught covid, so now i'm dealing with even more. i'm on the mend so hopefully i'll be back to a regular pace in due time but mind the lack of dust while i rest up and get it together!

spent the night of the fourteenth dining with my valentine and introducing them to smiling friends, held another theorycrafting sesh tonight, and just got done watching another batch of jujutsu kaisen. other things have been a handful lately too of course, but it's refreshing that for now, such a nice chunk of my business comes from personal projects and spending time with my loved ones.
too busy to write a whole article but toadstool, the new shalfi album, is stellar! i could be mistaken but i think it's his first time doing vocal stuff and gosh i love his style, it has this rly personal feeling to it, like im being sung to by a friend or smth, just with a more refined element!
shalfi's signature style on the guitar is complemented by a unique percussion set and, of course, his smooth voice… it's not hard to see how much emotion goes into his work, from the sound to the brief descriptions he includes with videos here and on other plats, but getting to hear his raw point of view is really neat, amplified by cadence and wordplay choices i haven't rly heard anywhere else. my top three tracks are wax, shatter on impact, and come down (now)! im listening on spotify for now but you can presumably get ur hands on toadstool wherever u stream ur music!
holy shit. turns out all my old art and creative material from like, 2020 and 2021, had just been sitting in a google drive this entire time. i thought most of it was lost to the sands of time!
apparently it's internet friends day, so… thank you! i've met some wonderful people from across the world over these past few years, and it was because of their kindness that i even had the guts to find what i have the honor of calling my local community! y'all changed my life for the better fr.
haven't been super active here, to the point where i still need to finish re-editing the 2D1iO article, but i've been doing a lot of thinking. i'm not sure how much of that will surface here or elsewhere, but there is a lot cooking under my hood. that's usually true to some extent, but it genuinely feels like something special is in the air rn.
also played among us tonight, for the first time in possibly a few years! i was pretty rusty for obvious reasons, but it was fun! i always forget how nice gaming feels until i get back into it. also rat, if you're seeing this, i vaporized the lake and used it to power my anthoawesome steam turbine. checkmate.
i don't particularly care about the super bowl but we're makin' some fancy eats for the occasion and it certainly gives me some nice background noise while i work, so i suppose i'm celebrating to a certain extent <:)
watched another batch of jjk with the squad last night too, i recall someone saying the point we left off on last time was where the manga was gunna end if it didn't sell well, and with that in mind i can definitely feel the shackles coming off in terms of writing and scope.
a couple of my pals finally introduced me to jujutsu kaisen tonight! needless to say it's earned a spot on my interests list cuz like. oh my god… i get it…
oh yeah i posted abt this on bsky but might as well put it here too, for reach and archival purposes. i've been driving myself nuts for years looking for an instrumental track from the mid 2010s, and one of my pals took the liberty of uploading my janky recreation of the melody on watzatsong. wanna help us find it? :3c
